The greatest Olympic medalist in Brazil alongside Torben Grael, with five medals, Robert is an athlete who never tires of proving that he can go further. In the Star class, he collected silver in Beijing (2008) and bronze in London (2012), in addition to three world titles (2007, 2011 and 2012). In the Laser class, he won gold in Atlanta (1996) and Athens (2004), and silver in Sydney (2000), in addition to eleven world titles: 1991 (juvenile), 1995, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2013. At the age of 48, he will compete in Tokyo for his seventh Olympics, a record among Brazilians.
